Register for Orientation

To Register

Select your New Nole Orientation session and reserve your space with online payment by logging into your myFSU portal at https://my.fsu.edu using your FSUID. You will see a prompt on your screen: Have you registered for New Student Orientation? To register or update your reservation CLICK HERE. Click the link to access the orientation registration system and complete your reservation. Please keep in mind that your space will not be reserved until payment is received.

Please note: All orientation fees are non-refundableAt minimum, students must pay the $35 base orientation fee in order to complete their reservation. Changes can be made to the reservation up to one week prior to your scheduled session. This includes changing your session date (pending availability), adding on orientation housing/dining, and adding guests. All payments must be made through the orientation registration system, which can be accessed through the myFSU portal.

First-Year Students (Summer/Fall)

The University requires a non-refundable admission deposit of $200 from freshmen accepted for the summer and fall terms. This deposit confirms your enrollment intention and secures your place in our first-year class. You should submit your deposit as soon as you decide that Florida State is your college choice, but no later than May 1. If your deposit is not received by May 1, your admission to the University is subject to cancellation. You can pay the admission deposit at https://admissions.fsu.edu/fees.

You must pay your non-refundable admission deposit in order to register for an orientation session. Please allow up to 24 hours for the payment to process before attempting to access the orientation registration portal. First-year students accepted for the summer and fall terms must register for Orientation by May 5. If you do not register for Orientation by May 5, your admission to the University is subject to cancellation.

Transfer Students

The University does not require an admission deposit from transfer students. Please allow up to 24 hours from your date of admission before attempting to access the orientation registration portal. There is no deadline for transfer students to register for Orientation, but New Student & Family Programs recommends reserving your space as soon as possible.

Orientation Agreement Terms

The following terms are outlined in the orientation registration portal and should be read before completing your orientation reservation in order to ensure understanding and compliance with orientation guidelines and expectations.

  1. I have read and understand all of the information available on the New Student & Family Programs website (nsfp.fsu.edu).

  2. I understand that all Orientation fees are non-refundable.

  3. I understand that Orientation participation is mandatory for all newly admitted, degree-seeking undergraduate students. If I miss any portion of my scheduled Orientation, I may be required to repeat Orientation at my own cost. I understand I will be unable to register for my courses until I have fully completed Orientation.

  4. I understand that the University highly encourages each student to have at least one family member attend Orientation, so the family can gain information and be best prepared to help the student transition to the University.

  5. All orientation participants must adhere to University policies. New students violating Orientation expectations, University policy, or the law will be removed from the orientation program and/or campus immediately. These students will be subject to the student conduct process as outlined in the Student Conduct Code and the outcome may result in loss of admission to Florida State University.

  6. I understand that the University requires each student to submit Health History/Immunization Compliance Forms and complete Health Insurance Verification process before they will be able to register for classes at the conclusion of Orientation.

  7. I understand that Orientation reservations cannot be held without payment.

  8. I understand that space at each orientation session is available on a first-come, first-served basis until sessions have reached their maximum capacity and I accept that sessions may close at any time.
