Throughout the year, New Student & Family Programs hosts events to help students in their transition to the University and learn more about their new home! These events and programs are open to all students.
First Day Photos
Celebrate your first day (or last first day) of classes at FSU with First Day Photos!
Meet NSFP on Landis Green to use our photo signs and commemorate the start of the semester.
In the fall, we will be out on the Monday and Tuesday of the first week of classes. In the spring and summer, we will only be out on the Monday of the first week of classes.
Ask a Nole
Ask A Nole stations are set up across campus to help students get directions and ask questions. Ask A Nole is offered the first two days of classes in the fall and spring semesters and the first day of the Summer B semester.
FSU has a First Day Attendance Policy, where all students are required to attend the first class meeting of all classes for which they are registered. If they miss their first day, they are dropped from the course.
Happy Birthday, FSU
Florida State University was founded on January 24, 1851.
Each year, NSFP plans a party to celebrate! With campus partners and performers like the Marching Chiefs, FSU Spirit Squad, and Cimarron, the day is filled with fun activities, swag, and sweet treats!
